ABOUT COLLEGE :
JNTUH University College of Engineering Jagtial (JNTUHUCEJ) was established in the year 2007 as a constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. The college is recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) & 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956.

JNTUHCEJ received THE ENGINEERING EDUCATORS AWARD from the University of Bradford, UK and Education Matters for exemplary commitment and impactful positive contribution to the education sector on 8th February, 2014.
JNTUHCEJ started functioning with five Under Graduate Programs viz., EEE, ECE, CSE, IT &ME with intake of 60 in each program. Students take admissions to UG programs through EAMCET only. Since 2011, the college is offering five Post Graduate Programs viz., EPS in EEE, ED in ME, DSCE in ECE, CSE and IT with an intake of 18in each PG branch. Total number of intake per annum in UG is 300 and in PG is 90. Also, in every branch 6 students through ECET shall take lateral entry admission in B.Tech II year. The total sanctioned intake for UG and PG programs together in all 5 branches is 1470. About80-85% students reside in the campus hostels. A high percentage of girls almost equal to boys take admissions in the college as well as reside in the hostels.
College is having well equipped, state of art laboratories in all the departments, about 180 CC cameras for security, Biometric entry/exit system for hostel students, one male and one female well qualified doctors are available in dispensary, about 50 security staff is working in the campus, auditorium with capacity of 250 seats, open auditorium, RO drinking water system and supply from Mission Bhagiratha, bus facility for the students from Karimnagar, Ambulance, Bank, ATM, Sports grounds, Solar street lights,Gym in hostels, and a 24x7 computer Lab.
The faculty is highly qualified and about 90% of them possesses Ph.D degree.
About University :
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, was established on 2nd October 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first Technological University in the country. It has been in the forefront for the past 44 years in providing quality technological education in the State of Telangana. After 36 years of existence it was restructured into 4 different Universities by the Government vide Government Ordinance No.13, dated 18th August 2008 and Act of State Legislature No.30 dated September 2008 and this new University has been designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).
JNTUH Campus occupied in 89 Acres of land situated at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2007 with an intake of 60 students in B.Tech program and 18 students in M.Tech program in the year 2012. The Department has state of the art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed internet and wireless networks. The Department has been maintaining high standards in imparting quality education in Computer Science. The faculty in the department consists of Six Professors, two Associate Professors and five Assistant Professors (C) out of which Six are completed Ph.D and Two are pursuing Ph.D. Our faculty aims at delivering top class education blending their rich research experience with classroom teaching. The major areas of research include Image Processing, Real time operating Systems, Neural Networks, Data mining, Information retrieval and Web mining, Information Security, Networks, Operating Systems, Distributed Systems, Parallel processing and Human-Computer Interactions.

Mechanical Engineering:
Mechanical Engineering (ME) is the discipline of engineering that explores the natural resources of power and propulsion and materials of engineering construction through the design, development, production, installation and operation of power plants, transport equipments and industrial plants besides the organization and administration of such plants."
The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) has started in 2007 with intake of 60 in UG and has been adding feathers in its cap every year with both curricular and non curricular activities. The department started its PG program in Engineering Design in the year 2011 with an intake of 18 and sponsored seats of 6.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the year 2019. It has 13 MOU’s with noteworthy organizations for Training, Skill development and Placements.
The Department is having 13 Teaching staff, 15 Non-teaching staff. The Faculty members in the department have written more than 20 text books and have enthusiastic supervision for research. Presently, about 20 scholars are working in various advanced fields of Mechanical Engineering and already produced 6 PhDs.
The Faculty Members of the department have published several technical papers in National and Inter-national Journals and conducting National seminars and conferences
The Department has state of art laboratories such as Engineering workshop, Production Technology, Thermal Engineering, Heat & Mass transfer, Metrology, Machine tools, Metallurgy & Material science, Instrumentation, Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics Machinery labs and CAD/CAM labs.
The students of the department are exposed to the practical and industrial aspects of the subjects through laboratory works, industrial visits, internship training regularly.
The Department is imparting practical knowledge in Automobile, Refrigeration, Air conditioning and other relevant areas under Re-Engineering and Reverse Engineering centre.
